European Snow Pride 2023 is set to color the beautiful slopes of Tignes next March, and we can’t wait. This will be the event’s 14th edition, and it will be transpiring from March 18 to 25. With over 1,000 guests coming from all over Europe, North America and beyond, this is set to be one of the most international editions of European Snow Pride, so ski to it! But just in case you needed some extra inspiration to book your spot, we thought we’d give you some deets on the official (and fabulous) event program of Europe’s biggest gay festival of winter sports and music.
As you would expect from a gay ski week, skiing and snowboarding will be a focus for sure at European Snow Pride 2023, so prepare to have loads of fun on the slopes! The event will take place in one of the world’s most beautiful ski areas, Tignes & Val d’Isère, and will offer 300 kilometers of perfectly interconnected slopes catered to varying skill levels. So whether you’re an absolute pro in the snow, or more of a novice (for now), you’ll be able to find something that’s just right.
Everyday from 10am to 1pm, guided lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski and snowboarders will take place on the slopes by highly competent, gay-friendly, and multilingual instructors. If you’re competent on the slopes and can pass on the lessons, guided skiing and snowboarding groups will also run at the same time as the lessons everyday. As your parents would always say, never do sport on an empty stomach, so fortunately for you (and mum and dad) lunch options will also be available on a privatized terrace by the slopes, everyday from 12pm to 2:30pm. Event passes will also entitle you to a 10% discount, so you have no excuses to skip!
European Snow Pride is lauded as Europe’s biggest gay festival of winter sports and music, and with its fantastic activity program that also extends beyond skiing and snowboarding, we can understand why. Over the course of eight days, enjoy a jam-packed schedule, including apres-skis every afternoon from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at the brand new bar & restaurant ‘Cocorico’. In partnership with MercrediX/VendrediX, the après-skis will welcome well-known DJs, along with popular singers, saxophonists, percussionists, and performers. A gay ski week is as much about enjoying the slopes as it is about making new friends, and we know these après-skis will be the perfect chance to connect with likeminded snow enthusiasts.
One of the distinctive aspects of European Snow Pride that sets it apart from other gay ski weeks is that it also includes the incredible Tignes Pride each year. And don’t worry, 2023 won’t be any different! Tignes Pride is the world’s only Pride to take place in a ski resort, and it’s the first one of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. We can understand why event organizers and locals consider it pretty special then. For 2023, Tignes Pride will kick off on Thursday, March 23, and bring together thousands of pride enthusiasts who will take part in a beautiful and colorful procession on the slopes. So pack your rainbow flags and whistles, and prepare to be a part of something truly unique and memorable on the slopes.

While many ski enthusiasts come to European Snow Pride every year for plenty of alpine fun on the slopes, it’s actually the incredible pool party which tends to be the highlight each time. Don’t believe us? Grab your best set of Speedos, and find out for yourself. For 2023, the pool party will make waves at Tignes’ amazing 5,000m2 aquatic center, Le Lagoon. And it gets better, there will be not one, but two parties happening on Monday and Wednesday!
Expect loads of party enthusiasts dancing, tobogganing, playing with inflatable toys filling the pools or relaxing in the saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis. If there are ever any moments you find yourself feeling a little frosty at European Snow Pride, the pool party will be a sure fire way to heat things up.
Along with the pool party, there will be loads of other fantastic LGBTQ+ entertainment over the course of the week at a series of local venues in Tignes Val Claret. And whether you’re a die-hard party animal, or you’d rather just attend a couple of events, everything will be accessible with your European Snow Pride 2023 event pass. Two fetish soirées will be kicking off on Monday and Wednesday at Avant Garde and Blue Girl, so grab your leather and unleash your darkest fantasies.
Following the Tignes Pride parade, the official Pride Party will be kicking off at Tignes’ brand new and stylish nightclub, The Strike. For European Snow Pride 2023, the club will be especially decorated with the theme of High School (think cheerleader, prom queen, American student) and it will welcome popular DJs, renowned international artists and incredible shows. This will be one memorable, unique way to celebrate Pride in Tignes, so be sure to add this party to your itinerary (or all parties if you’re game!).
In addition to all the action, there will be several more low-key events dotted throughout European Snow Pride 2023, should you wish to take things down a notch. On Sunday night you can enjoy a raclette dinner, and on Tuesday night, a soirée savoyard (think fondu, and more). Both dinners will be accompanied by a cabaret performance to settle you into the mood.
So feeling convinced? You should be! European Snow Pride has steadfastly developed a reputation for being one of the globe’s most popular gay ski weeks, and for good reason! Book your spot now and experience your pride in the snow next March. We’re confident we’ll be able to tell you “we told you so” after you return home raving about it!
