Kathy Osterman Beach

at Hollywood & Sheridan Sts, Chicago, United States

Gay beachgoers typically head to Kathy Osterman beach, named after the courageous 1980s politician who fought for gay rights alongside the Human Rights Campaign. The white sandy expanse of  beach beside the bright blue Lake Michigan attracts a diverse group of men and women. The southernmost portion of the beach is marked by a pride flag painted brightly on the pier.
